This morning Scott and I took “church” off and woke up at a leisurely pace. We cleaned up in time to go grab a starbucks and the non-New York City version of the Sunday New York Times (basically a scaled down version of the real thing merely 1.75 inches versus the NY version of 4-7 inches). As always I enjoy the quiet times we have together.
A little later he was off to work and I was off to Kohl’s - they were having a sale on their workout wear. I have, for most of the winter, been looking for some workout type pants not to really workout in but nice enough to wear on the weekends. I found a pair in the Adidas brand that looked nice and were on sale a bit. I turned down a cheaper but warmer pair in favor of the ones I did buy. I thought the warmer ones would only be good for right now while the lighter weight ones will carry me through the spring. I also picked up a sweater for $7.90 - a bargain and also one I will wear tomorrow to work.
As promised winter has returned. It’s around 45 degrees outside and sunny. I do love the Texas winters though - they always give you a little break from the cold every now and then.
Yesterday I mentioned to Scott that I wish January 1 would come on the first day of Spring in this part of the world The need for change is difficult to fulfill during the dead of winter. Not so difficult here in Texas or say south of the equator but I cannot imagine starting a nice new workout routine with 100 inches of snow on the ground.
Well, the last of the family photos won’t pack themselves. The first realtor comes tomorrow and I need to go rid the house of the last of the very personal touches, ie, photos.
Happy Sunday my friends
